Cleona Parks & Recreation
Cleona Community Park is the starting point for borough recreation. This guide brings together its location, the Borough’s facility information and the questions to check before a casual visit, group gathering or summer program.
Cleona Community Park
251 S. Garfield Street
Cleona Community Park is at 251 S. Garfield Street, behind Cleona Elementary School, according to United Way’s park directory. The directory lists dawn-to-dusk hours. Check posted conditions and use the park address for your arrival; the Borough office is at a separate location.
The Borough describes a pavilion, amphitheater, ball fields, tennis, basketball and volleyball courts, miniature golf and playground equipment, with Quittapahilla Creek nearby. Confirm which facilities are open and whether equipment, reservations or a scheduled program are needed for your activity.

A book stop at the playground
United Way lists a Little Free Library at Cleona Community Playground. Bring a book to share or look for one to read during your visit; the selection depends on community contributions.
Choose the right kind of visit
Playground or informal recreation
Check the weather and posted rules, bring what your activity requires and look over the available facilities when you arrive. For accessibility needs, ask about the route from parking to the specific area you plan to use.
A picnic or group gathering
The Borough lists pavilion rentals from April 1 through October 31, weather permitting, with reservations accepted after February 1. Call 717-272-7167 during Borough office hours, Monday–Friday, 9 a.m.–5 p.m., for pricing and availability, or use the Borough contact form.
The published rental information includes kitchen facilities, exclusive use of the pavilion and picnic tables, and access to bathrooms. Before reserving, confirm the equipment available on your date, capacity, current fees and cleanup requirements. The posted rules prohibit alcohol, tobacco and pets; ask the Borough about any accommodation needs.
Summer programming
Use the Borough’s summer-program page as a starting point, then confirm the next season’s dates, staffing, ages, residency rules, fees and available places directly. The page includes an undated notice restricting nonresident registrations because of staffing. That notice does not establish next season’s rules or open enrollment.
Community events
Use the organizer’s calendar to confirm dates and cancellations. Our events guide separates dated notices from recurring traditions.
Nearby recreation outside Cleona
Quittie Creek Nature Park in Annville offers a different outing: walking trails, picnic tables and a restored trout stream, according to Annville Township. Its posted guidance requires dogs to be leashed and curbed.
The township also links to the Annville-Cleona Community Pool for membership-based swimming. Treat it as a separate facility: check the pool operator’s seasonal schedule, admission arrangements and membership details.
